Project Volition (demo)
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
note: we are working on fixing the mac problems. please be patient.
ONLY WHEN FLESH MELTS INTO THE MOTHERBOARD WILL WE BE REBORN.
Clara is an Internet shut-in. But when her world is invaded by the web, she must come out and face the code.
Invited by her friends to an abandoned computer company building in their small town, Clara is faced with strange visual hallucinations and whispers of ascension through the cyber. Find clues, talk to your friends, and explore the glitch-warped building in the demo of Project Volition.
Note that this is closer to an alpha than a real demo.

This is a really cool demo so far! I love how the visuals and music become more and more distorted in line with Clara's deteriorating mood.
Hello,
I streamed your game last weekend. Overall, the game seemed fine, though really lacking polition and the store page is misleading.
My first impression with the game started at the store page where 7 people are listed as part of the team, leading me to believe this project is much larger in scope and budget than many other indie games. However, it became quickly apparent that either people have been misattributed or not involved with the project. The use of RTP sound effects is the first thing that calls into question the store page since 2 audio designers are credited, but nothing "audio" was was really "designed". Furthermore, there is a number of inconsistencies in the art design itself, where most tilesets are in a pseudo 16-bit style, while others are in RTP 48x48 style, creating a jarring clash in the art direction.
As for the game play itself, this demo doesn't really show a lot to base a strong opinion on in it's design. The writing seems a cut above many RPG maker games - even if the contents of it isn't my cup of tea, it's clear there is some skill in the writing. The open ended structure of the intro seems a bit obtuse with the story; the characters suggest splitting up for clues, but instead of you looking for clues, you look for the people you just split up with. What was the point of splitting up? This, in turn, makes the game play feel unnecessarily obtuse by making you search for your friends when this shouldn't have been a problem for your character.

ngl but i cant wait for when this game to become popular
Man I hate it when The Wired™ corrupts an abandoned computer company building, as I witness horrors way beyond human comprehension, such as the default RPG Maker tileset.
everybody gangsta until Default RPG Maker Mv Castle and Fantasy Assets !
At first I was intrigued. Then I was morbidly curious. Noel….What….
he's just getting a little skin massage
